The Star Inn re-opened in 2025. With a fantastic food menu and a bar serving beers, wines and spirits. We also have 5 well appointed en-suite bedrooms and 3 wonderful en-suite glamping pods. Nestled in the heart of the stunning Cambrian mountains, The Star Inn is the perfect base to explore the Cambrian mountains and the amazing local area.
The Star Inn is situated on the famous walking routes of the Glyndwr’s Way and Cambrian Way, as well as the cyclists Sustrans route #8 and the bridal paths Great Dragon Ride, William Morgan and the Prince Llewellyn Way. Not just that, we are located only 9 miles from the ancient capital of Wales Machynlleth, only 40 mins from the wild Atlantic coast with stunning beaches and craggy coves and the legendary "King of the mountains" Pumlumon (mountain) the sleeping giant, who's 3 daughters the water goddesses Hafren, Gwy and Rheidol planned there journeys to the sea, each taking a different route with many twists and turns the sisters are more commonly known as the Rivers, Severn, Wye and Rheidol. Close to many amazing walks and MTB routes including the Dyfi bike park, foel fadian circular route and Mach 1. The world famous Mach loop is only a few miles away and on a clear day is an amazing place to watch fighter jets close up. So much to see and do all so close by, The Star Inn really is a perfect destination to unpack, unwind and explore.
